CognoKids Playground
Cognorehab, a Canadian startup, is using an innovative playground to teach more than 20 prepositions of direction to blind or low-vision children. Our unique playground, which was patented in the US in 2018, allows for an interactive learning experience and utilizes the child's sense of touch. Manitoba Accelerator Technology has supported the startup since 2020, and we are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of these children. With our innovative playground, we are hoping to revolutionize the way that blind or low-vision children are educated, providing them with an engaging and effective learning experience that extends beyond just prepositions and directions.

Summery
Cognorehab Inc. is on a mission to revolutionize the way children learn directional and movement concepts. We've developed a comprehensive visual, tactile, and audio teaching method that is completely unique, both domestically and internationally. Our approach has been patented in the U.S. (file number US 10,152,896 B2 by Doc. Tahereh Mahmoodi Ahmad Abadi), and we're excited to bring it to the world.
Our ultimate goal is to make a positive impact on the lives of disabled persons by manufacturing and commercializing our innovative educational playground. To start, we're focusing on Winnipeg and Manitoba province, but we have big plans for expansion in the near future. We're committed to making a real difference, and we can't wait to see what the future holds.
Hall Effect Sensors
Our playgrounds are equipped with cutting-edge technology to create a unique and engaging play experience for children. We use Hall Effect Sensors to convert physical movement into electrical signals, allowing us to control processes and ensure a high level of accuracy and precision in our control systems. Additionally, our playgrounds feature a digital sound system that plays movements made by learners through the speakers. This system also sends data via wifi to another computer, enabling further analysis and logging of the education process. At our company, we are dedicated to leveraging innovative technology to create the best possible play and learning experiences for children.
